Jesus Christ: The Ultimate Man

Archival Post

Jesus Christ is the ultimate man. He is the One every believing man wants to emulate. We are bombarded daily with images and impressions and attitudes from society's popularized men, but none of them are worthy to loose Jesus' sandal strap.

When Jesus Moves Slowly (Mark 5:21-43)

When Jesus Moves Slowly

(Mark 5:21-43)

We know believers are called to "put on...patience" (Colossians 3:12). We know the Bible is filled with related words -- long-suffering, endurance, steadfastness, and waiting. But this waiting with patience is not our natural disposition. This is why we need the help of the Holy Spirit. When he bears his fruit in our lives, one evidence is patience (Galatians 5:22). (12 Minutes/3000 Words)

The Unstoppable Word of Christ, Part 3 - It Started Small But Will End Massive

(Mark 4:30-32)

During his day, some were tempted to despise the small things as they tried to rebuild the temple in Israel (Zechariah 4:10). It seemed like a small work, but God didn't want them to despise it because it was a good work. (4 Minutes/1100 Words)

Two Ways: Choose One (Psalm 1)

Two Ways:

Choose One

(Psalm 1)

One of the most well-known lines of American poetry came from the pen of Robert Frost, in his poem "The Road Not Taken." He wrote: I think many love the sentiment, partly because they feel their own lives are unique, that they also have taken the less traveled road. They feel they have resisted the way of most to pursue the path of few. (15 Minutes, 3800 Words)

You Are God's Child -- We Will Become Like God's Son

(1 John 3:2-6)

The thought is astounding. One day, God's children will **be like** Jesus **when He appears** (2). This incredible fact follows John's logic well. If believers are born into God's family, it makes sense that our full transformation would make us like God's Son. As God's kids, we will one day be like the Son of God. (9 Minutes/2200 Words)
